Whether it’s the unusual stress in our personal lives, communal commotion or global instability, we really need a firm anchor, a feeling of security. Where can we find something impervious to time, moods or fads? A Rock of Principle against which to lean, and one which can give us direction and strength?
Here’s a very serious, time-tested solution: Torah.
With a busy schedule and limited resources, it may sound crazy to imagine people diving into Torah every day. At the same time, 5-10 minutes a day, for one’s psycho-spiritual health, seems like a small investment.
Think about it. You probably invest much more than that into your physical (gym?), financial (reading up on your investments?) and psychological (therapist?) wellbeing.
This actually may be what you’ve been looking for.
